Nighttime strike by the Russian Federation on Odesa: two injured, a house destroyed, a lyceum and a kindergarten damaged
In the Prymorskyi and Kyivskyi districts, the roofs of several three-story buildings have been torn off; emergency services are assessing the extent of the damage
On the night of May 18, Russian forces attacked Odesa, wounding two civilians and causing significant destruction to residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, reported the head of the city military administration Serhiy Lysak.
According to Serhiy Lysak, the strikes destroyed and damaged housing in the city, and several civilian facilities were affected, including educational institutions.
The greatest damage was recorded in the Primorsky and Kyiv districts, where several residential buildings were affected.
Roofs were torn off several three-story buildings; in one sector a single-storey house was completely destroyed; the buildings of the city lyceum and a kindergarten were also damaged.
“As a result of the night enemy attack, two city residents were wounded. They were given all necessary medical assistance,” said the head of the city military administration Serhiy Lysak.
Toward morning, the Russian army launched new strikes on infrastructure facilities; as of now there is no information about casualties from these attacks.
Operational headquarters and utility services are working on site; specialists continue to survey and document the scale of the destruction.
