Morning collision on Bohoyavlenskyi: a 73-year-old woman with injuries was taken by ambulance

In Mykolaiv the police are establishing the circumstances of a road traffic accident involving an electric scooter, in which a 73-year-old woman was injured. The incident was reported by the Mykolaiv region police.

The accident occurred on May 15, 2026 at about 7:30 at the intersection of Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue and Yantarna Street in the Korabelny district. According to law enforcement, a 53-year-old driver, operating an electric scooter Master Rog 2,000 W, struck a 73-year-old woman who was crossing the roadway at an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing. After the accident the injured woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Police are now clarifying all the circumstances of the incident. Preliminary investigators have classified the crash under Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of the transport regulations. The article’s sanction provides for up to five years’ imprisonment.
