A new route is being launched in Mykolaiv: Shyroka Balka will receive a new transport connection
Finally: Bus No. 49 is being launched to Shyroka Balka
A new city public bus route No. 49 will be introduced in Mykolaiv, which will connect the Shyroka Balka neighborhood with the «Mykolaiv-Freight» station. The corresponding decision was supported by the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council today, May 13, 2026.
Transport on the route will be carried out by the municipal enterprise «Mykolaivpastrans». The launch of the new bus line is scheduled from May 18, 2026.
Buses will operate daily from 06:00 to 22:00 in normal service mode.
The route scheme provides travel via: Oranzhereyna St. — Prybuzka St. — Bohoyavlenskyi Ave. — St. Pogranichna — Station Square. During the executive committee meeting, Deputy Mayor Yuriy Andriienko explained that the issue of transport provision for residents of Shyroka Balka had been raised repeatedly by neighborhood residents.
“Right now we have the opportunity to put new buses there. We are temporarily appointing the carrier — the municipal enterprise “Mykolaivpastrans” until the appropriate tender for transportation is held,” — said Deputy Yuriy Andriienko.
City authorities say they continue to work on improving transport infrastructure and travel conditions for the city’s residents.
