Up to 30 hryvnias per trip: prices for transport in Mykolaiv have jumped like Mahuchikh
Can wallets cope? Transport fares raised in Mykolaiv
22 April 2026 the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council adopted a decision to change fares for public transport. The new prices will take effect in the coming days and will affect both route taxis and municipal transport.
From 27 April 2026 the following fares are set for route taxis:
- up to 10 km — UAH 18
- over 10 km — UAH 20
- Varvarivka — UAH 20
- Matviivka — UAH 25
- Velyka Korenykha — UAH 25
- Mala Korenykha — UAH 30
. For students, in the period from 1 September to 1 June a 50% discount will apply upon presentation of a student ID.
Also from 27 April 2026 the fare on buses of the municipal company “Mykolaivpastrans” will change — a ride will cost UAH 20. At the same time students will use transport free of charge during martial law, and after its end they will receive a benefit of 50% during the school period.
A separate fare has been set for electric transport. From 4 May 2026 the cost of travel on trams and trolleybuses of the municipal company “Mykolaivelektrotrans” will be UAH 15.
The city council explained that the decision was made taking into account the economic situation and the need to ensure the stable operation of the city’s transport system.
