In Mykolaiv, a man died after falling from the roof of a destroyed Regional Military Administration building

In the center of Mykolaiv today, April 27, a tragic incident occurred: a young man died on Admiralska Street. According to the police, a report to the emergency line 102 was received at approximately 12:50. It concerned a person falling from the roof of an administrative building in the city center. Local media also reported the incident, citing the police.

Police officers from Police Department No. 1 of the Mykolaiv District Directorate, forensic investigators of the regional police headquarters and a forensic medical examiner arrived at the scene. After examining the scene, law enforcement established that the young man had died.

According to reports, the tragedy occurred near the ruined regional council/OVA building in the center of Mykolaiv. Authorities are not naming the deceased — his identity is still being established.

The incident was provisionally classified under Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — “Intentional homicide” with the note “suicide”. The police explain that such a classification is used procedurally in similar cases until investigators determine all the circumstances.

Police are currently determining what preceded the tragedy, identifying the deceased and checking all possible versions of the incident.
