In the Odesa region, a man led conscripts across fields into Moldova for $6,000
Detained while briefing a client at the Ukrainian-Moldovan border; faces up to nine years' imprisonment and confiscation
In Odesa region, police exposed a resident of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi who organized the illegal transfer of those liable for military service across the state border into Moldova; for the route through the fields he asked for 6 thousand dollars.
According to the investigation, the client first gave the intermediary a deposit of 1000 dollars. After that the suspect drove the man by car to the Ukrainian‑Moldovan border.
On site the trafficker showed the route across the fields to the neighboring country and received the remainder of the payment for his “services” — 5000 dollars.
Law enforcement officers detained the organizer and have already notified him of suspicion.
The court imposed a preventive measure in the form of detention with the right to post bail in the amount of 266 240 hryvnias.
Under the charged article, the maximum punishment is 9 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
