The Cabinet of Ministers will present new contracts for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the Rada in a few weeks: compensation will depend on position and duties
The Ministry of Defence is auditing the payment system and developing a new model for contract service
In Ukraine this year new contracts will be introduced for service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with differentiated pay depending on position and tasks performed, as announced by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.
According to Svyrydenko, the Ministry of Defense is auditing the current payment system and simultaneously developing a new model of contract service intended to change the approach to payments.
She noted that the government has already discussed the relevant draft with the defense minister, and in the coming weeks the document is planned to be presented to parliamentarians.
Explaining the payment principles, Svyrydenko emphasized that the amount of monetary compensation will be determined by the position in the staffing structure and the nature of the duties performed.
“These contracts will make it possible to have differentiated salaries depending on the position and the function a service member performs”
It is expected that the new contract model will complement the results of the payments audit and introduce clear rules regarding compensation for service depending on specific roles and tasks within units.
