Swimmers from the Korabelnyi District made a strong showing at the All-Ukrainian tournament
The athletes returned with a whole collection of awards in different age categories
From April 3 to 5, 2026 in Uzhhorod the All-Ukrainian swimming tournament “Olympic Champions Cup 2026” took place. About 200 young athletes from various regions of Ukraine took part in the competition. Representing Mykolaiv with honor at these events were the pupils of the Children and Youth Sports School “Ukraine”, which operates in the Korabelnyi District at the SKPB “Vodoley” base.
Our swimmers returned home with a whole collection of medals in different age categories and at various distances.
The brightest performance at the tournament was by Anastasiia Mukha, who among girls born in 2011 and older won four gold medals. She was the best at the 200 m and 100 m freestyle, in the 200 m individual medley, and also in the 100 m backstroke.
Among girls born in 2012–2013 Veronika Rudenko won gold, silver and bronze medals. She took first place in the 200 m freestyle, second – in the 100 m freestyle, and third – in the 200 m individual medley.

In the same age category Ksenia Zozulia also climbed the podium. She finished second in the 100 m butterfly and third in the 200 m freestyle.
Among girls born in 2014 Yelyzaveta Kucherenko won silver and bronze medals. She finished second in the 100 m breaststroke and third in the 200 m breaststroke.
Among boys born in 2016 Danylo Baytalenko showed excellent form. He won two “golds” in the 50 m and 100 m butterfly, as well as two “silvers” in the 50 m and 100 m freestyle.
In the boys’ 2014 age group Dmytro Tochonov performed very confidently. He won gold medals in the 200 m and 100 m freestyle, became the winner in the 200 m individual medley, and also finished third in the 100 m butterfly.
Another strong result in this category was shown by Makar Danyliv. He won the 100 m butterfly, took silver medals in the 200 m and 100 m freestyle, and also bronze in the 200 m individual medley.
Among boys born in 2012–2013 Mykyta Bevz took second place in the 100 m breaststroke and third – in the 200 m breaststroke.
In the boys’ 2016 age group two bronze medals were won by Heorhii Kharchenko – in the 50 m and 100 m freestyle.
It is also worth noting the team performance of the Mykolaiv athletes. In the 8х50 m freestyle relay our swimmers took third place. The team included Anton Vasilyev, Makar Danyliv, Dmytro Tochonov, Viktor Viktorov, Yelyzaveta Kucherenko, Ksenia Zozulia, Veronika Rudenko and Anastasiia Mukha.
The athletes are coached by Vyacheslav Moroz. The successful performance at the all-Ukrainian tournament once again confirmed that young swimmers from Mykolaiv and the Korabelnyi District continue to maintain a high level and represent the city with distinction at prestigious competitions.
