Mykolaiv heating utility workers replaced a section of the water pipeline leading to the boiler house
In Inhulskyi District, 30 meters of polyethylene pipe were laid
In the Inhulskyi district of Mykolaiv, specialists from Mykolaivoblteploenergo recently replaced a section of water pipe supplying one of the company’s boiler houses. The old section was replaced with 30 metres of polyethylene pipe with a diameter of 180 mm.
The new pipe is expected to last up to 50 years. This replacement should improve the reliability of the water supply network.
This was the company’s first work in a new area for it: welding polyethylene pipes. In 2026, employees completed the relevant training and qualified as:
- plastic welders;
- welding coordinators for polyethylene pipes.
Thanks to this training, specialists can carry out this work independently to meet the company’s needs. In addition, Mykolaivoblteploenergo can provide polyethylene pipe welding services during the construction and repair of:
- gas pipelines;
- water pipelines;
- sewer networks.
The company has two butt-welding machines for this purpose. They can be used to work with polyethylene pipes with diameters from 90 to 315 mm.
