A BMW split in half after crashing into a tree in Mykolaiv region: two killed

A fatal crash occurred in the Chornomorska community of Mykolaiv district: the driver and passenger of a BMW 730 were killed at the scene. Citizens reported the accident to the police on the evening of October 12, at around 9:30 p.m.

The crash occurred on the T-15-13 “Nechaiane–Kamianka–Ochakiv” road. Police at the scene determined that the 37-year-old driver had lost control. The car left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

The impact split the car in half, after which it partially caught fire. The driver and his passenger, who was also 37 years old, died of their injuries at the scene.

The vehicle fire following the crash in the Chornomorska community has already been included in the State Emergency Service’s daily report. The police update provides details about the collision and the victims.

Police are continuing to establish all the circumstances and causes of the crash. Investigators have preliminarily classified the incident under Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of road safety rules or vehicle operation rules by persons driving vehicles, resulting in the deaths of several people.
