A second strike damaged the cargo terminal building; no one was injured
This morning, October 12, Russian forces struck Mykolaiv with a Shahed-type drone. The attack damaged a freight terminal building. The morning strike was reported by Heorhii Reshetilov, acting head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.
The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv Region clarified that the building was damaged as a result of a second attack. A loading and unloading complex caught fire on the terminal grounds. The fire covered an area of 500 square meters.
Emergency crews and equipment were dispatched to the site to extinguish the fire. However, rescuers were able to begin firefighting only once the security situation allowed. Despite the fire’s considerable size, it was put out quickly.
No one was injured in the Russian attack or the subsequent fire: there were no deaths or injuries.
