A Lanos caught fire while driving in Mykolaiv — one of 11 fires in 24 hours
In the Pervomaiskyi district, a fire destroyed a ton of straw near a house
In Mykolaiv Oblast, 11 fires were reported on October 10. They included a car that caught fire while moving in Mykolaiv and a hay fire near a private home in Pervomaiskyi District. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported the incidents over the past day.
During the day, a ZAZ Lanos passenger car caught fire while moving in Mykolaiv’s Velyka Korenykha neighborhood. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, which covered an area of 2 sq. m.
Later, firefighters put out a hay fire in an open area near a private home on Tsentralna Street in the Syniukha-Brid territorial community of Pervomaiskyi District. The fire covered an area of 20 sq. m and destroyed one tonne of straw. The causes of the car fire and the blaze near the home are still being investigated.
The remaining fires occurred in natural areas, burning dry grass, shrubs, and crop residue. Together, they covered 2.3 hectares.
Units of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service responded to all reports of fires. In some cases, local fire brigade units also assisted with firefighting.
