More than 31 km of pipes were replaced in Mykolaiv to make the networks more reliable
Four new generators were installed for use during power outages
In 2026, more than 31.4 km of water supply and sewage networks were replaced in Mykolaiv. The Municipal Enterprise “Mykolaivvodokanal” is carrying out upgrades to increase the reliability of centralized water supply and wastewater services.
The results of the work were presented by the company director Hennadiy Izyumov during a staff meeting. This volume of network replacement was achieved thanks to the completed works and the support of partners.
Specifically, they replaced:
- more than 30.7 km of water supply networks;
- more than 600 m of sewer pipes.
Infrastructure renewal continues. In October, replacement of a damaged section of the sewer collector on I. Bedzaya Street is scheduled to begin.
On the completion date Hennadiy Izyumov said:
Work will be completed by November.
Another area of the company’s work is preparing critical infrastructure facilities for possible power outages. To ensure stable operation of water supply and wastewater services in 2026, 4 new generators were installed. By 2026, 23 generators had already been installed at the company’s facilities.
International partners and donors are making a significant contribution to the renewal and repair of infrastructure. The company received from them:
- modern equipment;
- specialized machinery;
- pipes;
- pump components;
- consumables.
This support is important to ensure the uninterrupted operation of “Mykolaivvodokanal”.
