Mykolaiv has completed the creation of a new mural: the façade of the Mykolaiv College of Culture and Arts now depicts American singer of Ukrainian descent Kvitka Cisyk. She made a significant contribution to popularizing Ukrainian music around the world.
The mural continues the city’s initiative to create murals dedicated to notable Ukrainians. Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych reported on the completed work on his social media pages.
It’s nice to see how, thanks to such initiatives, the city space is changing while also telling the stories of people who helped Ukraine be heard around the world.
Oleksandr Senkevych thanked everyone who took part in implementing the project:
- the chief architect of Mykolaiv, Yevhen Polyakov;
- artist Valeria Kucher;
- artist Dmytro Voloshyn;
- private patrons who supported the joint work.
