Olympic finalists gave exhibition performances for young athletes in Mykolaiv
Divers and synchronized swimmers performed in the pool
On Friday, 17 September, the Mykolaiv swimming pool “Vodoliy” hosted an Olympic Lesson. The event was held as part of the European Week of Sport BeActive.
The lesson was co-organized by the city sports schools KDYuSSh “Ukraine” and KDYuSSh “Olimp”. Their young pupils met with well-known Mykolaiv divers Kseniya Baylo and Danylo Konovalov.
The athletes have significant international achievements:
- Kseniya Baylo — an 8-time European champion and a multiple medalist of the World Cup;
- Danylo Konovalov — a European Games champion and a junior world champion.
Both Mykolaiv athletes became finalists of the Olympic Games in Paris. During the meeting they gave demonstration performances for the young participants.
Pupils from the diving and synchronized swimming sections also demonstrated their skills in the pool.
The event was attended by Mykolaiv City Council secretary Dmytro Falko and Acting Head of the City Department of Physical Culture and Sports Nataliya Chupryna.
