Young volleyball players determined the strongest: the regional championship was held in Mykolaiv

September 18 2026 at the sports courts of the “Strilka” beach in Peremohy Park the Mykolaiv Oblast Open Championship in beach volleyball among young female athletes took place. The competition was held in two age categories – born in 2010 and younger and born in 2012 and younger. The results were reported by Оксана Петренко — senior lecturer of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports at ChNU named after Petro Mohyla, head of the university sports club and the organizer of the beach volleyball competition.

Among the girls born in 2010 and younger the champions were Білосохова / Левіна. The silver medals were won by Реуцька / Хрипунова, and third place went to Гошко / Костенко.

• 4th place – Василенко / Козицька;
• 5-6 places – Кароль / Олексієнко, Лихацька / Єременко;
• 7-8 places – Лахно / Маринич, Сербіна / Герасимчук;
• 9-12 places – Костюченко / Вербицька, Гута / Грабовська, Кравцова / Городнича, Бояринцева / Чамата;
• Also participating in the tournament were Сущенко / Копитова and Іванова / Гавриленко.

In the younger age category – born in 2012 and younger – the victory was claimed by Гошко / Костенко. In the final they defeated the pair Олексієнко / Чечуй with a score of 2:0, who finished second. The bronze medals were won by Гута / Грабовська. In the match for third place they beat Бурих / Кравченко also with a score of 2:0.

• 13-16 places – Лукьянюк / Гречишина, Герасимчук / Кабанова, Притула / Антипова, Циліпіді / Мініна.

The chief referee of the championship was Дмитро Вєтров, the chief secretary – Оксана Петренко. The competition was also officiated by Катерина Якимович, Геннадій Глазко, Вадим Бахматов, Софія Калинка, Роман Бічінашвілі, Дмитро Фефелов та Петро Потіха.

The organizers thanked the coaches, referees, parents and everyone who supported the athletes during the championship, and also congratulated the winners, medalists and all participants.
