In Mykolaiv, a man illegally cut down a walnut. The tree was found on 3-y Slobidska Street on August 24. This was reported by the State Environmental Inspectorate of the South-Western District.
The destroyed tree caused environmental damage of 7 thousand hryvnias. The violator must fully compensate the specified amount.
The Environmental Inspectorate called on city residents to treat trees with care and report cases of illegal cutting down of green spaces.
It was previously reported that Mykolaiv plans to approve a list of green recreational areas. They want to include five territories in the Central, Zavodsky, and Korabelny districts.
