Ukraine struck a Roscosmos facility, the Savasleyka airfield, and an oil facility in Russia
Among the targets is the "Progress" center in the Samara region
On the night of 15 August Ukraine carried out a series of long-range strikes on targets on the territory of Russia. Among the targets were the «Roscosmos» enterprise, a military airfield and an oil facility. This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to him, in the Samara region they hit the «Progress» center — one of the key enterprises within «Roscosmos», which, among other things, is engaged in the production of electronics. The strike used Ukrainian long-range missiles «Flamingo». The facility is located approximately 900 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
Also Ukrainian long-range weapons struck the airfield «Savasleyka», where Russian missile-carrying aircraft that the the Russian Federation army uses to attack Ukrainian towns and villages are based. The distance from Ukraine to it is about 700 kilometers.
In addition, damage was recorded to an oil facility in the Ust-Luga area. It is located more than 800 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
“Our plan of long-range sanctions against Russia in this war is being implemented,” said Volodymyr Zelensky.
The president thanked the Ukrainian units that took part in the strikes and stressed the need to reduce the military potential of Russia.
Earlier the Security Service of Ukraine carried out a large-scale special operation on the territory of Russia — a drone strike on four military airfields. As a result of the attack, 41 enemy aircraft were damaged, including strategic bombers A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22M3 and Tu-160.
