Over the past 24 hours in Mykolaiv region, 48 fires occurred: an outbuilding caught fire after a UAV attack
The fire engulfed more than 33 hectares of the region's territory
During 12 August and the night before 13 August, 48 fires were registered in the Mykolaiv region, including those caused by hostilities. The total burned area exceeded 33 hectares.
As a result of an attack by Russian UAVs on the Snihurivka community in the village of Tamarine, a private house was damaged and an outbuilding caught fire. Rescuers extinguished the fire over an area of 25 square meters.
Outbuildings, a residential house and a car also burned in the region’s residential sector.
In the village of Pisky in Bashtanka district, the coniferous forest litter in a forest tract caught fire. Firefighters together with foresters prevented the fire from spreading to the tree stands. The fire area was 1.5 hectares.
Another 5 hectares of standing wheat were destroyed by fire in the Shevchenkivka community. Other fires occurred on dry grass, in shrubs, on harvest residues and on rubbish.
The most fires were recorded in the following districts and settlements:
- Mykolaiv district — 16 fires;
- Bashtanka district — 12;
- Pervomaiskyi and Voznesenskyi districts — 8 each;
- Mykolaiv — 4.
Units of the State Emergency Service (DSNS) responded promptly to all reports. Local fire brigades were additionally involved in extinguishing the fires.
