In Mykolaiv, 5.8 million hryvnias were reallocated for public improvements and roads
Funds were redirected from waste collection and removal
The executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council adopted a decision to redistribute budget expenditures for 2026 within the total amount of funds allocated to the Central District administration.
“We propose to direct part of the funds from expenditures on the elimination of illegal dumpsites to works that are also important for the district today — landscaping, courtyard repairs, road maintenance and other necessary measures. The draft decision passed all approvals; no comments were raised,” said the head of the Central District administration, Oleksandr Bereza.
According to the decision, UAH 5.8 million was reduced for the provision of garbage and waste collection and removal. Instead, funds were allocated to: UAH 4.78 million — organization of settlement beautification; UAH 993.2 thousand — maintenance and development of automobile roads and road infrastructure; UAH 29.2 thousand — measures to prevent and eliminate emergencies and the consequences of natural disasters.
The reallocation will allow budgetary resources to be directed to the current needs of the Central District and to continue work on its upkeep and beautification.
