Why waiting for Bus No. 1 in Mykolaiv takes longer in the evenings: the carrier's explanation
'Mykolaivpastrans' responded to passengers' complaints about route No. 1
In the evening, passengers of bus route No. 1 in Mykolaiv sometimes have to wait longer for transport. The reasons for deviations from the schedule on July 8, 2026 were explained by the administration of the municipal enterprise “Mykolaivpastrans”. According to the enterprise, during the day buses are supposed to run at an approximate interval of 15–20 minutes in accordance with the approved route passport and the agreed timetable.
At the same time, the regularity of services can be affected by technical faults. If a bus has to be taken off the route for repairs, its replacement takes some time, which increases the interval between trips.
Another reason is drivers’ compliance with the legally established work and rest regime. Buses that are the first to go on the line in the morning finish work at approximately 18:00, so in the evening transport may run less frequently.
At the municipal enterprise “Mykolaivpastrans” they assured that they continue to recruit new drivers, service the rolling stock and improve the route network. Passengers can track the location of buses and the estimated time of their arrival at a stop on the enterprise’s website in real time.
