In Mykolaiv, the opening of another McDonald’s restaurant is likely imminent. Construction work has resumed in the premises of the former cafe “De Gusto” at the intersection of Myru Avenue and Budivelnykiv Street.

Local residents report that craftsmen are working inside the building; equipment installation and interior finishing are ongoing. In the released footage, installed tables are also visible, and some interior details resemble the chain’s signature design. At the same time, tiles are being laid and the adjacent area is being arranged near the future establishment.

Commenting on the active work at the site, the author of the published video suggested that the restaurant may open very soon.

“Well, the guys are working. Are you ready to soon hear the words ‘Free register’ in a new place? Look, they’re laying tiles, the tables are already in place — everything as it should be. Finally it will be. You won’t have to stand in lines on Mariupolska. Very soon. The version that this will be a McDonald’s is confirmed by information on the chain’s official website. In the employment section, restaurant No.903 is listed with the name “New restaurant in Mykolaiv”, located in the Inhulskyi district at the address: Budivelnykiv Street, 3-B. The page lists positions for a crew member, a night shift worker and a restaurant department manager, but instead of submitting an application it currently offers to subscribe for notifications about job openings.

Official information and confirmation of the opening, as well as the start date of the new establishment, have not yet been announced. At the same time, the address on the company’s website, active construction work, equipment installation and elements of the brand design indicate that the restaurant’s preparation is at the final stage.

This establishment could become the second operating McDonald’s in Mykolaiv. The first restaurant of the chain, after a long break, resumed operations on 27 March 2026 at the address: Pavla Skoropadskoho Street, 43. The company reported that it was possible to open it after stable confirmation that the water quality met the network’s internal standards.
