The Ministry of Defense will inspect the TRCs in Mykolaiv and Odesa after revelations that a man was held for 18 days
A statement was read out during the government's question hour; the man found by the ombudsman had fractured ribs, and in Mykolaiv region court proceedings concerning torture are being prepared
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has decided to carry out inspections at the Mykolaiv and Odesa TCCs; this was announced today during the government question hour by Deputy Minister of Defence Vasyl Shkurakov, which was also noted by people’s deputy Oleksii Honcharenko.

Shkurakov added that the government is preparing a reform of the TCCs and will present it to the Cabinet of Ministers for consideration in the near future.
The information about the inspections came amid incidents in Mykolaiv, where during a monitoring visit representatives of the ombudsman’s office found a man who had been held in the premises of the Mykolaiv TCC and SP for 18 days. He was found with injuries, including broken ribs that he sustained during the mobilization procedure, and the TCC would not release him, claiming they were waiting for the ribs to heal.
