Ford, Skoda and Volkswagen collided in the Mykolaiv region: one fatality
Police are looking for witnesses to a fatal traffic accident
In the Mykolaiv district, as a result of a collision of three cars, the 56-year-old driver of a Skoda Octavia was killed. Other participants in the accident refused hospitalization. This was reported on July 2, 2026 by the police of the Mykolaiv region.
The road traffic accident occurred at approximately 10:00 on the M-14 «Odesa — Melitopol — Novoazovsk» highway near the village of Kotlyareve of the Shevchenkivska community.
According to law enforcement, a Ford Transit van driven by a 62-year-old man, a Skoda Octavia with a 56-year-old driver at the wheel, and a Volkswagen Passat driven by a 37-year-old man collided. The Skoda driver died from his injuries in an ambulance. The other participants in the crash refused hospitalization.
Investigators have preliminarily classified the incident under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The circumstances and causes of the accident are being established. Witnesses to the accident or citizens who have any information about the incident are asked to call the numbers 068-327-44-14 or 102.
