Didn't have time to spend it — the unspent money will go to the budget: the cashback usage period is ending

Today, June 30, 2026, Ukrainians can for the last time use the funds that have already accumulated on “National Cashback” cards. After the end of the day, unused balances will be returned to the state budget.

Even if only a very small amount remains on the card — 1, 3, 5 or 10 hryvnias — it can still be spent or directed to charity. Tomorrow, July 1, these funds will become unavailable.

At the same time, the “National Cashback” program itself is not stopping. This only concerns the need to spend by the end of June 30 the funds that have already been transferred to the special card.

Cashback payments for goods of Ukrainian production purchased in May are expected to arrive in July. Accruals will continue afterwards as usual.

Available funds on the card can be used for:

• payment of utilities;
• purchase of medicines and medical products;
• purchase of books and other printed materials;
• postal services;
• food and other Ukrainian-made products that participate in the program;
• charity;
• support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

One way to use even a few hryvnias is to support the charitable project “Zalizna Rodyna”, which assists railway workers and their families who were affected by Russian aggression.

At “Ukrzaliznytsia” they note that amounts of 1, 3 or 5 hryvnias often remain on the cards. For one person such a balance may seem insignificant, but contributions from thousands of Ukrainians can become substantial aid for railway families.

You can transfer the available balance to support the “Zalizna Rodyna” project as follows:

1. Open the official website of the “Zalizna Rodyna” project.

2. Click the “Support” button.

3. Choose a payment method: Apple Pay, Google Pay or entering the details of the “National Cashback” card.

4. Enter the available amount and confirm the transfer.

You can transfer not only large amounts. Even a balance of 1 hryvnia can help if thousands of cardholders join the effort at the same time.
