700 kilometers didn't save them: Zelensky reported strikes on two oil refineries in Russia
Constitution Day began with "long-range sanctions": Russia reports two damaged oil refineries
On Ukraine’s Constitution Day, 28 June 2026, Ukrainian forces struck two oil refineries on the territory of the aggressor state. One facility is located approximately 300 kilometers from the front line, the other about 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
The results of the night’s combat operations were reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, on his official Telegram channel.
According to the head of state, the refinery “Slovyansky”, located in the Krasnodar region of Russia, was hit. The distance from the plant to the front line is about 300 kilometers. Another target was an oil refinery in the Yaroslavl region. This facility is located approximately 700 kilometers from the state border of Ukraine. The President did not specify which strike means the Ukrainian forces used or what damage the Russian enterprises sustained.
Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that Ukrainian long-range operations are aimed at reducing the resources that Russia uses to continue the war against Ukraine.
“On Constitution Day our forces began very accurately. Tonight our long-range sanctions reached two oil refineries in Russia. The Slovyansky refinery in the Krasnodar region was hit – that is about 300 kilometers from the front line. We also hit a refinery in the Yaroslavl region, which is approximately 700 kilometers from our border. We continue our operations that weaken Russia’s ability to wage this war. Each of our long-range sanctions is a reduction of the resources that work for the Russian war machine, and another step toward peace. We will continue to respond to Russian terror. Thank you to the warriors for these results! Grateful to everyone who helps us. Everyone who defends Ukraine affirms the power of the Constitution,” – Volodymyr Zelensky.
Thus, Ukrainian strike means reached two facilities of the Russian oil refining industry tonight, one of which is located deep inside Russia’s territory.
