In the Mykolaiv Oblast, as a result of the 2026 declaration campaign, incomes exceeding 1 million hryvnias were declared by 479 citizens. Among them were three residents with incomes of more than 1 billion hryvnias. This was reported by the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Mykolaiv Oblast in response to an information request from the outlet “News-N”.
According to the tax authorities, the largest number of citizens who declared over 1 mln UAH is concentrated in Mykolaiv and Mykolaiv Raion — a total of 314 people. Separately, the tax office noted three residents of the oblast whose incomes exceeded 1 bln UAH. All of them are registered in Mykolaiv Raion.
The largest declared income in the region exceeded 3 bln UAH. It was reported by one of the residents of Mykolaiv Raion.
The STS also reported that one of the district’s residents declared income of more than 1 bln UAH received in 2024. The sources of income listed include investment profit and funds received from abroad. The tax authority did not name the declarants in its response. Therefore, it is currently unknown who exactly is among the trio of Mykolaiv billionaires, what activities they are engaged in, and from which specific sources the largest income of over 3 bln UAH was formed.
The statistics also show a noticeable increase in the number of affluent declarants. As of 1 November 2025, the tax office reported 422 residents of Mykolaiv region with incomes over one million hryvnias. Now their number has reached 479, an increase of 57 people. Back in May 2025, the oblast counted 367 new millionaires who filed declarations of assets and income.
Against the backdrop of war, employment problems, wage arrears and a municipal budget deficit, such figures look particularly stark. At the same time, the mere fact of million- or billion-level income does not indicate wrongdoing: the origin of the funds, correct declaration and payment of due taxes remain important.
