In Mykolaiv, a 46-year-old dealer was detained: he was delivering cannabis by motorcycle
After another sale, the police seized cash, cannabis plants and scales
In Mykolaiv, law enforcement officers exposed a 46-year-old local resident who organized the sale of cannabis and delivered orders to customers on his own motorcycle.
Investigative and operative actions were carried out by investigators and operatives of Police Department No.1 of the district police administration of the city of Mykolaiv, who established that the man sold drugs mostly to acquaintances and personally brought them prepared packages.
The suspect was detained immediately after another sale of cannabis, and during a personal search money obtained from the illegal sale was seized.
During a sanctioned search of his home, law enforcement officers found and seized more than three kilograms of semi-dry cannabis, cannabis bushes, electronic scales, glass containers, prepackaged bags with the narcotic substance, and the motorcycle that was used to transport the “goods”.
All detected substances and items have been sent for the appropriate examinations.
Under the procedural guidance of the Mykolaiv District Prosecutor’s Office, investigators informed the detainee of suspicion under parts 1 and 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — illegal production, possession, transportation, and sale of narcotic drugs, committed repeatedly.
The penalty under the specified article provides for up to 10 years imprisonment with confiscation of property.
In the near future the court is to determine a preventive measure for the suspect, and law enforcement continues to investigate the drug supply channels and is checking for possible additional episodes of illegal activity.
