The war has not broken education: Mykolaiv has summed up the results of a difficult school year
168 graduates received diplomas with honors
Another school year has ended in Mykolaiv’s general secondary education institutions, which took place under conditions of war and in various learning formats — in-person, remote and blended. Despite all difficulties, 64 schools continued to operate in the city, where more than 34 thousand students studied.
The results of the school year were announced on May 29, 2026, at the Mykolaiv City Council.
Among graduates of the ninth grades, 3961 students completed their studies, and 211 pupils received certificates with honors.
At the same time, 2029 eleventh-graders graduated from schools, of whom 168 graduates received educational documents with honors.
Also, more than one and a half thousand students took part during the year in various intellectual contests, olympiads and competitions, representing Mykolaiv at different levels.
Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych thanked teachers, parents and students for their work and support throughout the school year. Summing up the school year, he noted the contribution of all participants in the educational process and addressed the graduates with wishes to successfully pass their exams.
“We are proud of each and every one. This is the result of a great joint effort. Thank you to teachers for their endurance and professionalism. To parents — for their support. To students — for their persistence. To the graduates, I wish you to confidently pass your exams and find your path”.
