A high-profile incident occurred in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi in the Odesa region during a military-medical commission. According to information from the publication “Dumskaya” May 18, 2026 citing sources in the prosecutor’s office, two men and a woman burst into the city hospital with weapons and forcibly took a man who was undergoing a fitness-for-service examination.

According to preliminary data, the attackers threatened TCC staff with a traumatic pistol and a hunting shotgun. The target of their actions was a 27-year-old man who at that moment was in the hospital to undergo the military-medical commission. After the conflict, the armed group put the man into a KIA vehicle and left the scene. The city immediately declared plan “Interception”.

Later, law enforcement detained the 23-year-old driver of the vehicle. Currently law enforcement agencies are establishing all the circumstances of the incident and are checking other participants. The situation gained separate publicity due to information about possible political influence on the case. According to sources of “Dumskaya”, the situation is reportedly being “resolved” by a deputy from the “Servant of the People” party and agribusinessman Borys Yureskul.

It is noted that the participants in the conflict may be natives of the villages Oleksiyivka and Marazliivka, where the businessman has significant influence through his farming business and community ties. According to public data, Borys Yureskul is the owner of the agricultural enterprise “Kolos”, as well as the company “Delta Agro Technics”, which trades in agricultural machinery and equipment.

No official statements from law enforcement regarding the possible involvement of the deputy in the incident have been released so far.
