There are outbreaks of intestinal infections in two more educational institutions in the Mykolaiv region; an emergency headquarters has been convened
Epidemiologists are already on site: an investigation and epidemic control measures have been carried out; three children are hospitalized
In two educational institutions in the Mykolaiv region, outbreaks of intestinal infections were recorded; this was reported by the Main Department “Mykolaiv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine”, after which an extraordinary meeting of the operational center for public health response was convened.
The agency noted that epidemiologists promptly went to the sites, conducted an epidemiological investigation and implemented the necessary set of anti-epidemic measures to contain the outbreaks and prevent further spread of the infection.
The center’s statement emphasized that related services and authorities were involved for coordinated actions and that the situation is under constant monitoring.
“As part of intersectoral cooperation, the appropriate services, authorities and local self-government have been informed to coordinate further actions. The situation is under constant control”,
