Kherson region: a 21-year-old entered the trust with candy and raped a 13-year-old
Following the discovery of the facts, all five children from this family were referred for assessment and support
In September 2025 in the Beryslav district of Kherson region, a 21-year-old man raped a 13-year-old girl; the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office has already sent an indictment against the suspect to court, and he is currently in custody.
According to the investigation, the suspect had for a long time been visiting the home of a mother of many children, who is raising five daughters on her own and was registered as a family in difficult life circumstances.
To win the children’s affection and the adults’ trust, the man would visit bringing sweets and gifts.
During the celebration of the eldest daughter’s birthday in September 2025, he led one of the younger girls into a tent in the yard and there committed rape.
After that, for several months the suspect, according to investigators, continued to commit indecent acts against the 13-year-old child.
When these incidents were discovered, all the children in the family were taken from the home for medical examinations and to provide necessary assistance.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office has sent an indictment to court; at the prosecutors’ request the accused has been placed in custody.
