The son of Mykolaiv native Krutoholov — No. 1 in the world: 15-year-old Ukrainian tops the karting rankings
It's like becoming the world's No. 1, only in karting!
The son of Ukrainian TV presenter Yehor Krutogolov — Lev Krutogolov — became the leader of the FIA International Karting Ranking (IKR).
This was reported by Yehor Krutogolov himself on his Facebook page.
As noted, 15-year-old athlete topped the ranking after a successful performance at the first round of the prestigious Champions of the Future championship, where he managed to secure third place.
This result allowed Lev Krutogolov to move up to the top position in the world ranking, outranking more than 1,000 drivers in 12 categories.
Several criteria are taken into account when forming the ranking: level of competition, number of starts, technical specifications and athletes’ finishing results.
Before this round, Lev Krutogolov was already among the top three after a successful season and a victory in the WSK Super Master Series, but it was the latest performance that allowed him to top the ranking.
“It’s like becoming the world’s No. 1, only in karting!”, – said the champion’s father.
