Supervisory Board of Mykolaivvodokanal: 5 members, UAH 177.5 thousand per month and the authority to dismiss the director
Created at the mayor's initiative and with the support of EUACI, the body consists of three independent members and two representatives of the owner, and costs 0.004% of the payroll fund
The supervisory board of the municipal enterprise «Mykolaivvodokanal» has 5 members, and the total monthly remuneration for their work amounts to 177 500 UAH; the municipal utility’s press service of the city of Mykolaiv reported this, publishing an infographic with key data on social networks.
The supervisory board includes:
- Andriy Haidutskyi
- Bjorn Kaare Jensen
- Andriy Yefimov
- Serhiy Shklyar
The publication does not explain who these people are or by what procedure they were chosen, however it mentions the approval of the personal composition.
The size of the remuneration was approved by the Mykolaiv City Council in 2025: for the chair of the supervisory board — 39 500 UAH per month, for each other member — 34 500 UAH.
The municipal enterprise’s press service specifies the conditions of payment and taxation of the supervisory board members’ remunerations.
“All members of the supervisory board, including foreign citizens, work under civil‑law contracts and pay 23% in taxes to Ukraine on their fees, and therefore receive after tax 30 415 UAH/month and 26 565 UAH respectively. Increasing the remuneration for supervisory board members is not possible without a decision of the Mykolaiv City Council.”
The supervisory board was created by a decision of the Mykolaiv City Council at the initiative of the mayor and with the support of the EU Anti‑Corruption Initiative (EUACI) — a leading international technical assistance program funded by the EU and the Kingdom of Denmark.
The published infographic also explained the composition and funding of the body’s work.
“The supervisory board consists of three independent members and two owner representatives. The work of the supervisory board is paid for from the funds of the municipal enterprise «Mykolaivvodokanal» and totals for the work of all five members 177 500 UAH/month. This is approximately 0,004% of the enterprise’s monthly payroll fund.”
The board is authorized to appoint and dismiss, based on the results of an open competition, the following key positions:
- General Director (subject to approval by the Mykolaiv mayor);
- Commissioner for Anti‑Corruption Policy;
- Head of the Internal Audit Service;
- Risk Manager;
- Compliance Officer;
- Corporate Secretary.
The authors of the infographic emphasize compliance with labor legislation and competitive procedures.
