An Audi overturned in Mykolaiv Oblast: a 22-year-old passenger was killed

In the village of Pishchanyi Brid, in the Stepivska community of Mykolaiv District, an Audi A6 overturned during the night of November 6. A 22-year-old passenger died at the crash scene. The driver and another passenger were hospitalized.

The accident occurred at approximately 1:50 a.m. on Tsentralna Street. According to preliminary police reports, the 36-year-old driver lost control: the car left the roadway and then overturned.

The driver and a 19-year-old passenger sustained injuries of varying severity. They were taken to a medical facility and admitted to hospital.

Investigators have provisionally classified the crash under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The charge concerns a violation of road safety or vehicle operation rules by a person driving a vehicle, resulting in a victim’s death. The circumstances and cause of the crash are still being established.

The Transport Crime Investigation Unit of the Investigative Department asks witnesses to the crash and anyone with information about its circumstances to call 099-725-23-00 or 102.
