Central Avenue in Mykolaiv was closed to traffic to allow rainwater to drain unobstructed
Traffic has already resumed after a brief restriction during the works
In Mykolaiv, traffic resumed on Central Avenue between Inzhenerna Street and Mala Morska Street on October 18, just 10 minutes after a temporary closure. The stretch had been closed to traffic while the storm sewer was being cleared.
Workers from the ELU Avtodorih Municipal Enterprise cleared the drainage system so rainwater could flow freely.
When announcing the closure, Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych initially estimated that the restriction would last 20–30 minutes. The public was promised a separate notice once the road reopened.
While the work was underway, drivers were urged to plan their routes around the closed stretch and to take extra care near the municipal workers.
