Two children among five killed: strike on apartment buildings in Zaporizhzhia
Two residents were pulled from the rubble; the search for others continues
A Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia this morning claimed the lives of five people, including two children. Another ten people were injured. Russian forces attacked the city this morning, Saturday, October 10.
The strikes hit several districts of the city. One residential five-story building was severely damaged: part of its entrance was destroyed, and structures collapsed at the level of the second floor.
During the rescue operation, a woman was pulled from the rubble. She was conscious and was handed over to paramedics. Rescuers later managed to free another resident from the destroyed building.
Three people were also reported to have minor injuries, and one person was hospitalized.
According to preliminary information, another person may still be trapped under the rubble. Emergency services continue to clear the debris and search for possible survivors at the impact sites. Information about the consequences of the attack is still being verified.
The Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, headed by Mykhailo Semykin, expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed.
