An 11-year-old girl was hit at a pedestrian crossing in Mykolaiv
After an examination at the hospital, the child was prescribed outpatient treatment
Today, October 9, around noon, a car struck an 11-year-old girl near the intersection of Central Avenue and Buznyka Street in Mykolaiv. The child was injured.
According to preliminary information, the car was driven by a 49-year-old man in a Mitsubishi Grandis. The girl was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.
The injured girl was taken to hospital. Medical staff examined her and prescribed outpatient treatment.
Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for violating traffic safety rules. The article provides for a penalty of up to three years of restricted freedom. The circumstances of the crash are still being investigated.
Police are asking eyewitnesses to the crash and anyone with information about the circumstances to call 063 785 04 20 or 102.
