In the morning, there’s a 45-minute gap; in the evening, an hour and a half: residents of Mykolaiv ask for the No. 91 route schedule to be revised

A resident of Mykolaiv contacted the Contact Center of the Mykolaiv City Council to ask that the schedule for bus route No. 91 be reviewed. In her post, published on October 7, 2026, she highlighted problems with both morning and evening service to Balabanivka.

According to the woman, morning bus service is inadequate because children from the neighborhood attend school in the Korabelnyi District, while adults need to get to work on time. She pointed to the long gap between buses—from 7:10 to 7:55.

“Good morning. I’m asking you to review the schedule for route 91. First of all, children from Balabanivka go to school in the Korabelnyi District, and people need to get to work in the morning, yet there’s such a long gap—from 7:10 to 7:55—with no buses at all,” the resident wrote.

In the same post, she also raised the issue of evening service. According to her, once the workday ends, there are not enough buses heading toward Balabanivka.

“The evening schedule needs to be reviewed too. People work in the city, but from 17:10 to 18:40 there’s no transport to the Balabanivka neighborhood. This is disrespectful to people,” the author of the appeal noted.

The resident also asked for more buses between Balabanivka and the city center during peak hours in particular. At the same time, she pointed out that route No. 91 now continues to Namiv, where, in her opinion, there is already enough transport.

“Organize more commuter buses from the Balabanivka neighborhood to the city center (especially during peak hours) and back. There are already plenty of buses going to the Namiv neighborhood—it’s not necessary to extend an already busy route so far,” the post reads.

The municipal enterprise Mykolaivpastrans responded to the appeal. It explained that as of October 5, 2026, route No. 91 operates on a new, extended route—from Balabanivske Cemetery to the Riviera residential complex.

“Regarding the schedule for route No. 91, we would like to inform you that, as of October 5, 2026, route No. 91 operates on an extended route—from Balabanivske Cemetery to the Riviera residential complex. The route’s length and layout have changed, so a new schedule has also been drawn up,” the enterprise said.

Mykolaivpastrans noted that it is currently assessing how well the new schedule matches actual passenger demand.

“The enterprise is currently analyzing passenger numbers on this route at different times of day and bus occupancy, as well as collecting passenger feedback and suggestions,” the response reads.

The enterprise also said it would take residents’ comments about morning and evening service intervals into account.

“The requests outlined in the appeal to reduce intervals during the morning and evening, particularly with regard to trips to work and school, will be taken into account in the further analysis of the route,” Mykolaivpastrans said.

After the monitoring period, the enterprise plans to assess passengers’ suggestions and adjust the schedule if necessary.

“Once the monitoring period is over and the suggestions received from passengers have been reviewed, the enterprise will revisit the schedule for route No. 91 and make the relevant adjustments if necessary,” the municipal enterprise noted.

Thus, the issue of long gaps between buses on route No. 91 in the morning and evening is currently under review by Mykolaivpastrans. The enterprise says it will make a final decision on changing the schedule after analyzing passenger numbers and residents’ feedback.
