Russia threatens massive strikes against Ukraine and urges foreigners to leave
Warnings were also addressed to diplomats, and the responsibility is being shifted onto them
Russia said it will continue massive strikes on Ukrainian cities and urged foreigners to leave the country. The corresponding official statement was published by the Russian Foreign Ministry on October 3.
The document speaks of further strikes by the Russian armed forces on facilities in Kyiv and other cities, which the agency describes as “military targets”. The ministry repeatedly warned foreign nationals, including diplomatic mission staff, against staying near such facilities.
Separately, the Russian agency strongly recommended that foreigners leave Kyiv and refrain from traveling to Ukraine. It phrased its threats in the Russian Foreign Ministry‘s statement as follows:
“The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will continue to inflict massive strikes of retribution. The Russian Foreign Ministry once again warns foreign nationals, including diplomatic mission staff, against remaining in Ukraine and traveling to its territory. Responsibility for any possible negative consequences lies entirely and fully with those who ignore this warning.”
