Mykolaiv Regional Local History Museum has prepared a program for October for residents and visitors of Mykolaiv. Visitors are offered themed activities, meetings, master classes, excursions and new exhibitions.
Activities and meetings
The month’s calendar includes events for holidays related to Ukrainian Cossacks, defenders and the native language:
- October 1–15 — an informational-game program and a puppet performance “Where the Cossack Is — There Is Glory”, dedicated to the Day of Defenders of Ukraine and the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks. Themed master classes will also be prepared for visitors.
- October 2 — a meeting of the historical and local history society “Zolota Lodiya”.
- October 26–29 — a thematic museum lesson “Native Language — Ukrainian” for the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language.
Where to go on the weekend
A separate part of the program consists of themed and interactive excursions:
- October 3–4 — an author’s guided tour by Tetiana Hubska “History of the Naval Barracks”.
- October 10 — an interactive excursion for family leisure “Bread Is the Head of Everything”.
- October 17 — an excursion-journey through the nature halls “Journey into a World That Does Not Exist”.
- October 24 — a thematic excursion “Native Language — Ukrainian”, dedicated to the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language.
New exhibitions
During the month the museum plans to open two exhibitions:
- “Belarusians in the Ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.
- “Olena Markitan’s Dolls”.
Residents of Mykolaiv and city guests are invited to choose an event according to their interests and spend their autumn leisure time in an informative and meaningful way.
