A VAZ overturned on a field road in Mykolaiv region: the driver was killed
A female passenger remains in hospital after an accident near Novohryhorivka
On 26 September at around 14:00 near the village of Novohryhorivka of the Stepivska community a fatal road traffic accident occurred. A 46-year-old man was driving a VAZ-2103 and was traveling on a field road. The car left the roadway and then overturned.
The driver and his 38-year-old female passenger sustained injuries of varying severity. Both were hospitalized, but the man later died in the medical facility. The woman remains in hospital.
Investigators have provisionally classified the incident under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation by persons driving vehicles, which caused the death of the victim. The police are establishing the circumstances and causes of the accident.
The Department for the Investigation of Transport Crimes of the Investigative Directorate asks witnesses of the accident and anyone with information about its circumstances to call 063-621-46-34 or 102.
