Mykolaiv schoolchildren won the right to present STEM projects in Greece
Fourteen student projects were recognized at the city festival
Mykolaiv students won the Grand Prix, prize places and advanced to the final of the international STEM education festival EcosyStem.Mykolaiv. The winners gained the opportunity to present their projects at an international STEM competition in Greece.
During the final stage, participants presented 17 children’s research projects, innovative solutions and prototypes. 14 works were prepared by students from Mykolaiv general secondary schools. The students showed their developments to the expert jury and answered questions about the research conducted and the proposed solutions.
The Grand Prix and 1st place were awarded to:
- Valeria Huseva — a 9th-grade student of Mykolaiv Lyceum No. 22;
- Mykhailo Tymchenko — a 10th-grade student of Mykolaiv Lyceum No. 38 named after V. D. Chaika;
- Darya Slyusarenko — an 11th-grade student of Mykolaiv Lyceum No. 55.
2nd place went to:
- Andrii Demianov — a 9th-grade student of Mykolaiv Lyceum No. 38 named after V. D. Chaika;
- Hlib Berbat — a 10th-grade student of Mykolaiv Lyceum No. 38 named after V. D. Chaika.
3rd place was won by Diana Kornienko — a 4th-grade student of Mykolaiv Lyceum No. 51.
The festival finalists were:
- Mykola Zapalskyi — Lyceum No. 38;
- Demian Vdovychenko — Lyceum No. 2;
- Tetiana Slatvynska — Lyceum No. 2;
- Serhii Artemiev — Lyceum No. 42;
- Kirill Sushchenko — Lyceum No. 64;
- Maksym Novorozhdennyi — Lyceum No. 29;
- Maryana Stoyanova — Lyceum No. 55;
- Pavlo Stoyanov — Lyceum No. 55.
The festival gave students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice, conduct their own research and present their developments to the expert jury.
