Opponents suffered: Mykolaiv's Ozerov Team took 23 awards at the Ukrainian Cup

From 10 to 13 September 2026 in Odesa the ISKA Ukrainian Kickboxing Cup for adults and the All-Ukrainian competition “Path of the Winner” for children and juniors were held. The tournament was dedicated to State Emergency Service workers and gathered hundreds of athletes from different regions of Ukraine.

The Mykolaiv team Ozerov Team (Kick-Fighter GYM) also performed successfully at the competition. Its representatives won a total of 23 awards: 5 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze.

Effectively 12 athletes competed for the team, but there were 13 entries in age categories: Hryhoriy Zubko competed both among juniors and adults.

The most gold medals for the team were won by Mykhailo Ozerov, Vadym Melnychenko, Hryhoriy Zubko and Maksym Mihachov.

• Mykhailo Ozerov won 1st place in Low Kick and 3rd place in K1 Light.
• Vadym Melnychenko became the winner in two disciplines — taking 1st place in K1 and 1st place in Low Kick.
• Hryhoriy Zubko, who competed in two age categories — juniors and adults, won 3 medals: 1st place in K1 Light, 2nd place in Low Kick and 2nd place in Light.
• Maksym Mihachov took 1st place in Light and 2nd place in K1 Light.
• Kiril Prospet won 2nd place in K1 Light and 3rd place in Low Kick. By the way, in February 2026 Kick-Fighter GYM trainee Kiril Prospet already became the holder of the Mayor’s Cup in ISKA kickboxing in Mykolaiv.
• Illya Shynkarenko took 3rd place in Light.
• Nikita Stryk won two bronze medals — 3rd place in K1 and 3rd place in Low Kick.
• Anna Alekseeva twice became a silver medalist — 2nd place in Light and 2nd place in K1 Light.
• Iryna Taraniuk also won two silver medals — 2nd place in Light and 2nd place in K1 Light.
• Kyrylo Kaschyshen took 3rd place in Low Kick.
• Andrii Ponomar won two bronzes — 3rd place in Light and 3rd place in K1 Light.
• Oleksandr Vasylenko also climbed to the third step of the podium twice — in K1 Light and Low Kick.

The athletes were trained by coach, Master of Sports of Ukraine of international class in ISKA kickboxing Valentyn Oleksandrovych Ozerov. The coach himself also has significant sporting achievements: in April 2025 at the ISKA European Championship in Malta he won 2 gold and 1 silver medal.

After the competition, Ozerov Team emphasized that the result was the outcome of the athletes’ daily work, and also thanked the parents and everyone who supports the team.
