18 fires in 24 hours in the Mykolaiv region: a man sustained burns

September 3 and the night of September 4, 18 fires broke out in Mykolaiv Oblast. During one of them in Mykolaiv a man was injured.

Dry grass and rubbish were burning in the city. While extinguishing the fire, firefighters found a man with burns. He was hospitalized.

In the residential area, rescuers extinguished three fires:

• in the village of Olenivka of the Shevchenkivska community, Mykolaiv district, straw on the roof of a residential building was burning. The fire spread over an area of 40 sq. m;
• in the village of Mishkovo-Pohorilove of the Mishkovo-Pohorilivska community, an unoccupied residential house burned over an area of 30 sq. m;
• in the village of Bandurka of the Synyushynobridska community, Pervomaiskyi district, a private house burned over an area of 30 sq. m.

Two more fires occurred at facilities. In Voznesensk, cooking equipment in a fast-food establishment caught fire. The fire covered an area of 10 sq. m.

In Mykolaiv the fire engulfed a retail pavilion and the roof of a pharmacy. The total area of the blaze reached 100 sq. m.

Almost all the other fires occurred in ecosystems. Units of the State Emergency Service responded to all reports.
