In the Mykolaiv region, the tax service together with the police uncovered another instance of an illegally operating petrol station. The agency’s press service reported this.

During the inspection it was established that the entrepreneur was selling fuel without a valid license and also failed to comply with labor law requirements.

As a result of the inspection, a protocol on an administrative offense was drawn up and fines totaling more than 500 thousand hryvnias were imposed, — the State Tax Service (STS) reported.

Tax officials carried out explanatory work and reminded that a proper license is required to legally sell fuel.

The Main Department of the STS in Mykolaiv Oblast noted that retail sale of fuel without a license carries a fine equal to 45 minimum wages established as of January 1 of the reporting year.

The agency emphasized that combating illegal petrol stations remains one of the key priorities. Such petrol stations create unequal conditions of competition and reduce tax revenues to the budget.

Note that all types of fuel have become more expensive in Mykolaiv: current prices.
