Ukrainians owe 104.2 billion hryvnias in utility payments
The largest share of the debt is for heating and hot water

As of 30 June 2026 the total household debt of Ukraine for housing and utility services amounted to UAH 104.2 billion. These data were provided by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
During the second quarter of 2026 Ukrainians paid UAH 67.1 billion for utility services. At the same time, the amount of charges for this period was lower — UAH 53.5 billion.
The largest amounts of debt relate to the following services:
- heating and hot water supply — UAH 33.8 billion;
- natural gas supply — UAH 29.1 billion;
- electricity — UAH 17.3 billion;
- water supply and wastewater disposal — UAH 10.5 billion;
- management of apartment buildings — UAH 10.1 billion;
- household waste collection — UAH 3.4 billion.
Thus, the largest share of total debt is related to heating and hot water supply: UAH 33.8 billion — almost one third of the total debt.
It was separately noted that the Mykolaiv region is among the top three regions of Ukraine with the largest utility debts.
