Three children and a man killed, an elderly woman injured: Russians again attacked the Mykolaiv region with drones
Also in Ochakiv, a multi-apartment residential building was damaged
During 21 August 2026 and in the early hours of 22 August, Russian forces continued to attack the Mykolaiv region with strike unmanned aerial vehicles of the “Shahed/Herbera” and “Molniya” types. The most severe consequences were recorded in the Veselynivska community, where four people were killed, including three children. The Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported on the consequences of the enemy strikes as of 07:30 on 22 August.
In the Voznesensk district on the evening of 21 August, a Russian UAV of the “Shahed” type attacked the Veselynivska community. In the village of Tokarivka, two 11-year-old boys, a 13-year-old boy and a 30-year-old man were killed as a result of the strike.
Another 36-year-old woman was wounded. She was hospitalized.
As a result of the Russian attack in Tokarivka, a retail outlet, a pharmacy and a branch of “Nova Poshta” were also damaged.
Strikes also continued against the Bashtanka district. During 21 August, Russian forces twice attacked the Snihurivska and Horokhivska communities with “Molniya” type drones.
In Snihurivka a private residential house was damaged. In the village of Novotymofiivka a combine harvester was damaged as a result of the attack. According to the regional military administration, no people were injured during these strikes.
Already in the early morning of 22 August, Russian forces continued attacks on the Snihurivska community. According to updated information, the enemy used “Molniya” UAVs three more times.
As a result of these morning strikes, a healthcare facility and a pharmacy were damaged. There were no casualties, reported the acting head of the Mykolaiv RMA, Heorhii Reshetilov.
In the Mykolaiv district, Russian forces attacked the Ochakivska and Chornomorska communities with “Shahed/Herbera” type UAVs.
In Ochakiv, an 81-year-old woman was injured in the attack. She was hospitalized. As of the morning of 22 August, her condition is assessed as moderate and stable.
Also in Ochakiv, an apartment building was damaged.
In the village of Chornomorka, a private house was damaged as a result of a Russian strike. According to the regional military administration, no one was injured there.
Thus, during the past day and the morning of 22 August, as a result of Russian attacks in the Mykolaiv region, four people were killed, including three children, and two other women were wounded. The enemy damaged residential houses, a retail establishment, two pharmacies, a postal operator branch, a medical facility and agricultural machinery.
