Dry grass fires destroyed three buildings: 40 fires broke out in the Mykolaiv region
The total area of the fires exceeded 22 hectares
17 August the region experienced 40 fires, of which 4 were in the residential sector and 2 involved vehicles.
In Novyi Buh dry vegetation toppled onto the outbuildings of several households — 3 structures were destroyed over an area of 700 sq. m. In Novoshmidtivka the fire from dry grass spread to an outbuilding, but the residential house was saved.
A summer kitchen, an outbuilding and two cars also burned.
Most fires were burning dry grass, shrubs, crop residues and trash.
The most ecosystem fires were recorded in Mykolaiv and Bashtanka districts — 9 each, in Voznesensk — 8, and 5 in the Pervomaiskyi district and Mykolaiv city.
The total area of the fires is over 22 ha. Do not burn dry vegetation! A fire can instantly get out of control.
