In the Odesa region, the body of a child who disappeared while spending time on the water was found

In the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Raion of Odesa Oblast the body of a boy who went missing while swimming on August 13 was found. The child, born in 2012, had been missing for several days.

Emergency services and divers of the State Emergency Service (DSNS) were involved in the search operation. Specialists searched more than 11,000 square meters of underwater area and about 11 kilometers of shoreline over several days.

Ultimately the child’s body was found in the waters.

The tragedy once again serves as a reminder of the need to observe safety rules while spending time near bodies of water. Even in calm weather, water can pose a serious danger, especially to children.

Previously, in Odesa Oblast a 14-year-old teenager vanished at sea. Police and rescuers continue searching for him.
